Today, I’m super excited to be part of Kate Avery Ellison’s cover reveal for…
Thorns
Book #2 in The Frost Chronicles
Love. Just love. I love the continuity it shares with the first cover, and am excited about the things it implies about the story to come!
About the book…
Spoiler warning: If you have not read Frost, the following blurb will be spoilery
Lia Weaver went against everything she’d ever known when she risked her life to help a Farther fugitive named Gabe escape from the Aeralian soldiers, and her life changed forever. And the Frost has changed, too—the Farthers have taken over her village, a new group of vigilantes calling themselves the Blackcoats are making plans to overthrow the Farther occupiers, and the Thorns are seeking for her to join them.
Lia seeks to fight back against the evil and injustice that has swallowed up her home, but danger lurks at every turn. The monsters that dwell in the deepest regions of the Frost are growing bolder and more dangerous every day, a Farther noble takes up residence in the village on a mysterious mission, and Lia discovers that her parents were harboring even more secrets.
As the frozen world of the Frost grows even more perilous, can Lia survive?
Thorns releases Fall 2012!
A little bit about Kate…
I’ve been making up stories since I was five years old, and now I’m thrilled to be able to do it as a full-time job. I have an obsession with dark fantasy, dystopian futures, and Pride and Prejudice-style love stories full of witty banter and sizzling, unspoken feelings. When I’m not writing, I’m creating digital art, reading funny blogs, or watching my favorite shows (which include TVD and BSG). I live with my geeky husband and our two bad cats in Atlanta, GA.
The Giveaway…

Pretty cover!
Snow is a “rare” thing where I live so we always look forward to making snow cream. I have fond memories of my grandmother making it for me when I was a little girl.
Oh, wow. LOVE IT! Can’t wait for this book.
Gorgeous cover! How old is she supposed to be?
Great cover, she is very pretty. Thx for giveaway.
BEAUTIFUL cover!! 😀
I love the cover. We once had a blizzard that kept everyone in for a week. I worked in a hospital and Iwas stuck there too. But, my little daughter loved it. My hubby made an igloo and she had so much fun in it. I have pictures so for a child it is wonderful
Love the color used! Pretty!
The cover is beautiful.
The cover model kind of looks like the eldest sister in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie (I don’t know her name) and little bit like the actress who plays Katniss in the Hunger Games. The cover artist is a genius!
I live in Houston which means we get no snow. Shocking right?! I know! Well I spent a winter with my eldest sister who lived in Dallas (4 hours north of Houston) and they do get snow. One night it snowed so much everything looked like a white blanket had fallen on the city. It was beautiful. I made snow angels, a snow man and froze my feet and bum from being out in it all day.
Gorgeous cover! I absolutely cannot wait to read the book! Thanks for the giveaway! :o)
The cover looks fantastic! And it’s blue, i love blue!
Thanks for the giveaway!
The cover is beautiful.
I was Spokane to visit my fiance’ this past Winter. It was beautiful. There was snow everywhere on Valentine’s Day, and I had our picture taken together out in it.
There are way too many good memories with snow because winter is my favorite season but it would probably be when I learned to ice skate on my pond
Pretty cover!
I am in love with the blue hues! It really makes the cover look ‘cold’
The cover is amazing!
First: The cover?! It’s so beautiful!! The model’s expression is perfect, really, and the different shades of blue are amazing.
A total winner 😉
And a memory… that would be the first time my dog went out in the snow… So funny! He went straight to a HUGE pile of snow and it fell all over him, hahahaha. I had to take him out quickly and go back home to dry him up
The cover is beautiful. The model has a soulful look that says she’s serious but at the same time she’s soft so be gentle with her. And of course you can’t go wrong with blue.
The cover is amazing! Def eye catching. Simple and beautiful
Ana♥
Great cover. Honestly what caught my attention the most about the cover was the Font. Great color combination of blue gradients, makes it look soothing and interesting.
