Welcome to the first annual INDIEpendence Day Blog Fest!
sponsored by The Indelibles
The purpose of this blog fest is to highlight exceptional indie authors and their work. To quote the Indelibles directly,
” The 25 Indelible authors all believe that amazing works of fiction can be found in indie novels. By highlighting and bringing greater awareness to quality indie books, people find great books to read, indie authors get support, and we continue to change hearts and minds about the gems that can be found among self-published and small-press novels.”
I agree! And so, today I’ve decided to feature Rachel Morgan! Rachel Morgan is the author of the Creepy Hollow series of novelettes* which feature kick-butt, faerie guardian-in-training, Violet Fairdale. I’m not usually a fan of The Fair Folk; however, in the case of Creepy Hollow, I make an exception. I love the world Rachel built, I love Violet, I love Nate, and I love the smart, wonderful dialogue, I love the story and the twists and turns it’s taken thus far. If you like well-written stories full of action, adventure, mystery, magic and of course, romance, then you need to check these books out!
*And what is a novelette you ask? Well, it’s longer than a short story and shorter than a novella. It’s about 60 pages long, and readable in an hour. One of the reason Rachel’s writing impresses me so much is the amount of plot and development she’s able to fit in that page length without it seeming too rushed or glossed over. But I digress. A link to my review of Guardian is available below.
A little bit about Rachel…
