So, this past week… has been a little busy around the blog, but I did manage to fit it some reading time. I read Dante’s Girl, which is a cute, fluffy, romantic book… I did the cover for it, and it released last weekend, so I wanted to check it out ASAP! Technically it’s been on my virtual TBR since February? Does that count? lol I also finished that MS I had been asked to read… and it was really, really good.
This coming week… well. I’m going to cheat. Hardcore. My super-sweet, amazing husband offered to take the kids to his parents’ house for the weekend, and he is giving me a free weekend BY MYSELF in which to read. Yup. Me, myself and I hardly know what we’re going to do with ourselves. Actually, that’s not true. I have a stack of books that I’ve been saving especially for this occasion, so here’s the selection I have to choose from this weekend… not that I’ll actually GET to all of these, but I’m hoping to get through at least THREE of them…
This week was an incredibly fun week of reading! I read Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry (OH MY WORD!!! So good!), Dante’s Girl by Courtney Cole, Switched by Amanda Hocking, Falling Under by Gwenn Hayes, and Bumped by Megan McCafferty (You’ll see a review of this coming soon).
This week I’m planning on reading a few books that have been on my list for quite a while: Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Wither by Lauren DeStephano, and Delirium (I know I am like the last person on the planet to read this!) by Lauren Oliver.
I also want to read a few that are new to my pile: Torn and Ascend by Amanda Hocking (I need to finish out the Trylle Trilogy) and Dreaming Awake by Gwenn Hayes (the second of the Falling Under series)
Then there is the pull of Arise by Tara Hudson and Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
What are you reading this week?
Oh my God!!! Girls… you are my heroines!!
I can’t believe you read all those in one week.. or you are planning on reading that much!
Yeah, Heather, you are the last person to read this book, but well, at least you won’t wait like us for Requiem!
Good luck with Shadow and bone, Dany!
Hope you have a great weekend!
WOW. BUSY??? THOSE ARE LOTS! I mean, both of you always nailed it! I think you don’t need luck at all. hehehe.
ANyway, Dani, you made the cover for Dante’s Girl? It’s SOOO PRETTY! I love the colors and the combination of those stuffs. I love it. YOu are awesome. That is beautiful. I want to read the book too.
Heather, seemed like you really enjoyed PUSHING THE LIMITS. I’ve been undecided to read it, until now. I think I really want that book now. Is the movie similar to the book? The one with Drew Barrymore? Am I mistaken? 😛
ANyway, more power to both you! You rock!
XOXO,
April
oh my, there is no Pushing the Limits movie at all. I can’t stop thinking about the book so I googled it. And I was referring to a different movie. Anyway, confusion, confusion. Sorry! 😛
