Welcome to the TBR Intervention Challenge!

1.) So, this week was a big fat fail. I barely ended up getting any reading done, let alone my TBRIC book. I had several reviews to write and a wedding to finish, and it did not bode well for reading time. I did get a chance to read the newest novelette*, Traitor, in the Creepy Hollow series by Rachel Morgan… it’s wonderful with an “OMIGOSH!” ending, and I can’t wait for the next one which doesn’t come out until July. I know I shouldn’t complain, (JULY!?!?! <– anguished cry) because really, July is not that far off, but still! Still!
* So what is a novelette, you might be wondering? Because before last week, I wasn’t familiar with the term. So for anyone who’s also wondering, a novelette is longer than a short story, but shorter than a novella.
I also got a chance to read another novelette, Suffocate by S.R. Johannes, this week. It’s the first installment in a new sci-fi dystopian series, and it’s fantastic — interesting characters and some great twists and turns.
My review of Suffocate is HERE.
Heather’s review of Onyx is HERE.
2.) So, same song, same verse.
Tons of giveaways going on right now… including one for the e-ARC of ONYX!
Check out our current giveaways on the sidebar to enter!
Love Daemon? It’s all about Daemon, all weekend long… check it, yo:
What are you reading this week?
Is that a series of novellettes? Or all the others in the series novels? I am currently in search of good short stories, novellas, and novellettes (or at least I am now that I know it exists–lol).

I love love love the cover of Traitor! It reminds me of the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison… I think that the right name…?
However, hope you enjoy it. And hope you can read CoLS. I’m dying to read it!
I like Traitor’s cover. And reading your reaction to the Creepy Hollow series, I think I’m going to check it out and maybe add it to the TBR pile.
Traitor’s cover is just great. I should probably check it out. I don’t like novelletes that much… I tend to prefer novels, specially from a reviewer point of view (I never know what to say with short stories, for example!) But it sounds great, so I might give it a try.
I hope you get to finish your challenge this week, Dani! Good luck!
Oh that’s okay! Totally understandable (it happens to me all the time lol). At least you’ve finished two novelettes! I’m glad that you enjoyed it. Okay, now I know what a novelette is, thanks to you! I know about short stories and novella, and if you didn’t clarified, I thought novelette was a novella too. Anyway, I hope you’ll find the perfect time to finish CoLS. It was really amazing, but not too much of a cliffie, so I think that’s good. Less torturous but still heartbreaking (what will you expect anyway… hehe). Good luck and have a great week!
