TBR Intervention | Week #31

Welcome to the TBR Intervention Challenge!

hosted by

Books4Juliet, Whatever You Can Still Betray & Refracted Light

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice–EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

1.) So, this past week I did read Anew.  While it did start off a little shaky, it quickly picked up speed and I ended up really enjoying it. And omigosh, that ending.  Let’s just say, I’m very glad there’s not much longer to wait for Awry.  My review of Anew is coming soon!  I also got sucked into Samantha Young’s Fire Spirits series this week.  Thank goodness the third one will be coming out soon.  Thankfully, Samantha has a couple more series I’m going to go download to Kindle now, while I wait for the rest of Ari, Jai, and Charlie’s stories.

Review of Smokeless Fire HERE.

2.) While not in my actual possession, this title has graced my Goodreads TBR list for OVER a year… City of Lost Souls.  It’s time.  It’s time to figure out what’s going on with Jace… and to see if Cassie has gotten my telepathic pleas that Jordan needs his own book.  Sadly, I fear that the latter is only wishful thinking… but what are we without hope? 😉

What are you reading this week?

Loved Anew(even though I’ve never reviewed it and will end up rereading it so I can), that ending was the kind that makes you want to scream. Can’t wait until Awry comes out. Planning to read City of Lost Souls this weekend too. It’s been sitting on my night stand for two days but I’m in the middle of reading a series that is like one big story split into a bunch of novels so I need to finish those up first and neither of those are part of my challenge lol. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on City of Lost Souls :)

    Hey Dany!
The Fire Spirits series sounds really good! So glad you enjoy it!
And wow! I’ve heard Jordan has some good parts in CoLS, it seems Cassie is really listen to your thoughts!
    Hope you love it!

I’m glad you liked Anew so it’s on my books-to-check-out list now.

I also have City of Lost Souls and I don’t know if I want to read it now. As I said earlier in some post or comment that I wouldn’t read CoFA until CoLS comes out. And now it’s here and then, well, I really don’t want to be subjected again to the feelings I’ve had when I read City of Bones and City of Ashes when all the “Are we siblings?” drama. My friend finally read City of Bones last week and she’s in knots and asking me and asking me whether Jace and Clary really are siblings. LOL. I decided to torture her by denying her that knowledge.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy CoLS and read Sebastian burning the world.

I have Anew and Smokeless Fire so I’m thrilled that you enjoyed both books! I’m excited to read mine yay!!! And CoLS! I’m reading it as well, and loving it (what’s not to love?). I hope to finish it soon :)
