Welcome to the TBR Intervention Challenge!

1.) So, this past week was a bit of a TBR Intervention fail. I failed spectacularly, actually. Didn’t even crack either book. I did read this week, but it was beta-reading three manuscripts/partial manuscripts for friends. I also read Illuminated by Erica Orloff this week. I picked it up on a whim in a used bookstore this week, and it was a cute little read. I posted a review of it HERE.
2.) Ok this week, I’m totally breaking the rules. But I promise, it’s SO totally worth it. Because I’m getting to read ONYX!!! ONYX!!! Oh come on… it’s Daemon. Please understand… 😉
A lot of people are huge fans of Jennifer Armentrout, she even has her own Goodreads fan group which considering the amount of friends on Goodreads I have in it and their almost constant posts on my home page seems very active. I personally haven’t gotten a chance to read her work yet. It’s on the list of thing to read but one I haven’t gotten to yet. But considering how popular she is I haven no doubt she’s an amazing writer so I don’t think anyone could blame you for reading her book before anything else. If it makes you feel any better I didn’t read much beyond my challenge posts last week. My plan had been read my three challenge books, finish up the book I’m not enjoying for April and get all but one remaining book of the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning read and reviewed. I read my TBR challenge books and a little of the first Highlander book I haven’t yet reviewed. Instead I moved my library into a hallway because my son can no longer be trusted in the room next to it, got a lot of planning work done and posts all formatted so that when I do them all I need to do is type in the blank. Oh and finally saw the Hunger Games with my family. Been wanting to go since it came out but either Ed didn’t have the day off or if he didn’t have to work the kids had school and a lot of homework to boot. He was on 3-11 all of Spring Break week so we couldn’t even go then. The joys of a husband on swing shift. We’re talking about going back to the movies tonight to see Mirror, Mirror since everyone wants to see it and Ed’s next weekend off is next month.
Onyx looks interesting
Oh my God!!!!!! I can´t believe you have Onyx!!!
Wow! true, it totally worth it. I feel I can steal it to you, lol!
So much good luck!
I haven’t read anything by Jennifer Armentrout yet, but I’ve heard that she’s amazing. Maybe another one to add to my (already super-lengthy) TBR list? Thank goodness for this challenge, and helping me to keep it under control!
Intervention fail! High five! LOL. The last week was also not too great for me in the Books Department. I was always out with friends and I was watching movies and a Korean TV series. We always have our weeks, right, Dani? Hehe.
Ah, Daemon. I do completely understand.
Hi Dani,
Don’t worry about it! Who can resist DAEMON? lol. I totally understand! I want that alien too you know. I want to steal ONYX from you!!! I am so jealous. Do I need to wish you luck with Onyx? I think you don’t need it anymore. I’M SURE YOU’LL LOVE it anyway! ;P
