1.) So, I finished three books this week! Pure was fantastic — frightening, shocking, but also gorgeous. Tempest Child was kind of a mixed bag — character and relationship development didn’t do it for me, BUT the world building was interesting. And The Hunt… well it wasn’t wasn’t what I hoped. It took until around page 200 for things to really get rolling, the world was way too vague, I didn’t really like the main character or the love interest, and the whole situation just seemed highly improbable.

2.) So… this week. What am I going to read this week. Wellllllllll… I am currently in the middle of a book that actually meets the TBR criteria. YEAH! I know! Heist Society. A steal at the Border’s close-out sale last summer, I’ve had Heist Society on my shelf since August… so eight months? So I will finish that book this week. Also, I’ve been needing to get to Above by Leah Bobet for review, so I’m adding that to the TBRIC list for the week.
What are you reading this week?
So is this something you’ve been doing a while or something you just started?
April, Ayanami and I have been doing this since October. At one point we had a bunch of people doing it with us, but the numbers have kinda dwindled with the warmer weather… lol
You’re welcome to join us, if you need yet another meme/challenge to add to your plate 😉
Thanks for stopping by Jenn!
I’m so dying to read Pure!!!
Do glad you liked it. Hope I can read it soon.
Good luck with Above, It’s on my list, too.
Happy reading!
Pure was very good! You should definitely pick it up ASAP!
And thanks… am really looking forward to Above. It looks really different.
I actually dropped all the challenges and memes I was doing because I got so far behind on reviews due to a blog hiatus of like eight months or something like that. You do this every Saturday? Right now I’m working my way through my TBR pile and most of it is stuff I’ve had for months if not years. So this would kind of fit with what I’m working on if you’re looking for people to join up. Do you have a little sidebar image or only the top banner? Obviously it’s a little past Saturday and I’d have to redo my blog plan to add it but it would fit with my goals and it’s something different so I think I’d like to add it. I’ve currently got my posts planned out until November. I don’t know why because it seems I redo my calendar two or three times a week but I guess it makes me feel more organized that way.
Hi Jenn! Yeah, memes can be a fun way to connect to other bloggers, but they can take up A LOT of time. And yes, I do have another image for the sidebar that I’ll email you
I’ve found this particular meme/challenge to be really helpful in getting around to some of my books that are just gathering dust, and the blogging part of the challenge hardly takes any time to throw together anymore.
And you’ve got posts planned until November… holy crap! I wish I were even a tiny bit as organized!
Anyway, yes, we are here every Saturday, so if you feel like you wanna jump in at any point, we’d love to have you!
I’m glad you liked Pure!! I really enjoyed it when I read it! I cant wait to see what you think about Heist Society! I keep checking it out from the library but I haven’t had the time to read it yet.
Hi! hehe. I’m super late
but I’m glad I’ve posted.
I’ve read the comments here… yep, it’s kinda sad that we’re only 5 or so now joining this meme. But I think they’ll some back soon. Maybe they’re too busy right now, and you’re right, maybe it has something to do with the weather LOL.
Anyway, I’m glad that we’re still here, less numbers or not. Our friends will know that they still have something to come home to every Saturday here on the blogosphere
Hey, Dani, hey! Thanks for adding the link to my post. Got no internet last weekend so I haven’t been able to add the link. Thank God, I scheduled the post.
And I’m adding Pure to my TBR. *sigh* Books are too many but you can’t get enough of them.
