1.) So. I didn’t get to Embrace this week… again. Though I did finish When the Sea is Rising Red by Cat Hellisen, which I found fascinating. I also read Hurricane by Jenna-Lynne Duncan and the long-awaited Magic Under Stone by Jaclyn Dolamore. 😀
Review of When the Sea is Rising Red HERE
Review of Hurricane HERE
… and I’m halfway through Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick too. Patch Cipriano, I think I may love you.
2.) So… this week I AM GOING TO READ EMBRACE. The caps lock clearly indicates my level of commitment. lol I’m also going to read Chosen Ones by Tiffany Truitt…probably.
Sixteen-year-old Tess lives in a compound in what was once the Western United States, now decimated after a devastating fourth World War. But long before that, life as we knew it had been irrevocably changed, as women mysteriously lost the ability to bring forth life. Faced with the extinction of the human race, the government began the Council of Creators, meant to search out alternative methods of creating life. The resulting artificial human beings, or Chosen Ones, were extraordinarily beautiful, unbelievably strong, and unabashedly deadly.
Life is bleak, but uncomplicated for Tess as she follows the rigid rules of her dystopian society, until the day she begins work at Templeton, the training facility for newly created Chosen Ones. There, she meets James, a Chosen One whose odd love of music and reading rivals only her own. The attraction between the two is immediate in its intensity—and overwhelming in its danger.
But there is more to the goings-on at Templeton than Tess ever knew, and as the veil is lifted from her eyes, she uncovers a dark underground movement bent not on taking down the Chosen Ones, but the Council itself. Will Tess be able to stand up to those who would oppress her, even if it means giving up the only happiness in her life?[/box]
So what are you reading this week?
Is Magic Under Stone a sequel?

Yup. Magic Under Glass is the first book.
Oh I need to get that one. I have been waiting for the sequel to Magic Under Glass–I didn’t realize it had been released!
FYI–I mentioned you on my blog as one of the blogs I think is lovely.

You got through some good books this week. I finished Anna Dressed in Blood on Tuesday, and then was in a bad reading slump. Luckily The Vincent Boys cured me of it and I am hoping to finish the few books I got half way through. Hopefully you get to Embrace this week. I want to read Chosen Ones too, but I think I am going to wait another week or two.
Glad you got out of your reading slump! Been meaning to read both Anna Dressed in Blood and The Vincent Boys. I’m not on tour with Embrace for almost a month, but I’m hoping to get a little bit ahead with obligations for March if I can 😛 Good luck with finishing the books you’ve started!
I lode the summary for Chosen Ones and he’s definily going for the wishlist. This meme is so not helping, lol.
Happy Reading!
lol…I know what you mean.
Patch Cipriano? Is that his last name? Oh God. If reading Patch was bad…
He can be sweet and hot, and the books might be great, but I think I can’t read them and take them seriously. Cipriano is like, one of the most mock-awful names in Spanish, and Patch makes me think of patchwork quilts, as I always point out when the series comes out.
Ahem. And now, back to the important things – yay! You rad your books and liked them! I’m so happy for you! I hope that Chosen Ones will turn out to be great too.
Happy reading!
Seriously. Give Hush, Hush a try. I think you might actually like it… and Patch 😉
Hahaha! You two are funny! I love PATCH too, but I won’t snatch him from Dani! LOL.
This is such a cool meme! You’ve peaked my interest and I think I’m going to try it out, that is, if I remember and if I stop hacking up a lung long enough to make a long enough blog post. 😉 Congratulations on reading all those books! That’s a really big accomplishment!
New follower by the way, and I also want to congratulate you on having so many! (Sorry, I’m in a really happy mood today, despite the coughing!)
Yay! Glad to have you, Eileen!
Thanks so much for stopping by and following! And I hope you can join us when you’re feeling better!!!
Oh my, you’re reading Silence now! I’m so jealous! I ‘m currently reading Pure and I want to read Silence after. I wish I could do that lol. Anyway, I want to see your review about When The Sea is Rising Red since I’m so anxious to get a copy of that book too. I’m heading to your review now. Have a great week Dani!
Lovelots!
