“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine.
My pick for this week is:
by Caitlin Kittredge
Expected Publication: February 14th 2012 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Everything Aoife thought she knew about the world was a lie. There is no Necrovirus. And Aoife isn’t going to succumb to madness because of a latent strain—she will lose her faculties because she is allergic to iron. Aoife isn’t human. She is a changeling—half human and half from the land of Thorn. And time is running out for her.
When Aoife destroyed the Lovecraft engine she released the monsters from the Thorn Lands into the Iron Lands and now she must find a way to seal the gates and reverse the destruction she’s ravaged on the world that’s about to poison her.
Why do I want this book? I loved the first book. The blending of Steampunk, dystopian vibes, faeries, magic and terrifying monsters was fantastic — the world is JUST SO COOL and super creepy. Aoife is such a cool heroine and I’m dying to know what happens to her and her world. TNG comes out in about three months, so if you haven’t read The Iron Thorn… you totally have enough time to catch up. 😉
So what are you looking forward to this week?
this looks really good, adding it to my list:D

Oh gosh! Thanks for reminding me about this one! I loved The Iron Thorn, but somehow it slipped my mind that the sequel was coming up. Blame it on the thrill of 2012 debuts. ><
