1.) Man, I really suck at this meme… and I’m supposedly one of the hosts. Don’t kick me off… please? Carrier of the Mark? Didn’t even crack it open. That’s mostly due to the fact that I FINALLY got approved to read Cinder through NetGalley. <Squee!> I would like to say how ever that I’ve gotten more reading done this past week than I’ve been averaging lately. I finished THREE books and and am halfway through Cinder. So even though I didn’t meet my TBR goal, I’m happy with what I got accomplished and I got some books read that I’ve been wanting to get through forever.
Untraceable – A really fast-paced mystery/thriller set in the Smokies. The heroine was a bit of acool, tomboy wilderness survival expert and the love triangle was yummy. Releases on 11.29, but I’m having S.R. Johannes on the blog on Wednesday so be sure to stop by and check that out!
Silver Dew – Sequel to Amber Frost and I’ve been waiting for this book since April. It is AH-Mazing. Loved this book. It sucked me in and barely gave me a moment to breath. It was exciting, and the romance between Sebastian and Grace? So. Bone-Meltingly. Good. You all must read this. Releases 12.01.
Brightest Kind of Darkness – Just finished this book this morning… I was really blessed with a bunch of REALLY GREAT books this week, because I also loved this one! Ethan? He’s now on my favorite book boy list and Nara is just a fantastic heroine! The concept behind this story is really original, and I CANNOT WAIT for the sequel.
Cinder – So this is where my TBR challenge went a little… awry. I’ve been waiting on NetGalley to approve me for this one for a month, so you can imagine how ecstatic I was when a little email popped up in my inbox telling me I could download it. I’m afraid I decided to start this one right away, and I’m SO glad I did. I’m am once again…LOVING it.
2.) Ok…honestly lately between review obligations, I’ve had very little time to read anything that’s not current. (i.e. that’s why I’ve been choosing books that aren’t so dusty). I’ve been lucky to get through two books a week. But this week I’m going to choose a book that’s been on my shelf for three months now, and that’s also on the shorter side. The Adoration of Jenna Fox. the whole concept of maybe her memories aren’t hers is really intriguing. This week holds a holiday for us Yanks, so hopefully I’ll get some down time to actually get my TBRIC book read.
So what are reading this week?
*Laughs* Okay, I think we can still give you a pass even though you didn’t even look at your challenge… After all, you read nearly four books in a week! That makes you my official hero and role model – I could only pull that off when I went on holiday with no computer attached.
I’m glad you liked Brightest Kind of Darkness, it’s one of my faves. Also glad you brought up Silver Dew… because there’s someone called Sebastian! Which means, I must read Amber Frost. W
hich means my TBR pile just grew… Again. Ouchie.
Anyway, good luck with this week’s challenge! I hadn’t heard about it, but memories that don’t belong to her? A good starting point for a thrilling book! I hope you enjoy it 😉

We took a vote and we will be keeping you around for awhile. Well, I am glad to hear that you still feel accomplished this week. It is incredibly difficult to read anything other than the numerous books that we have committed to review.
It is good to hear that you finally got Cinder. I have had it but haven’t gotten to it yet.
Oooh grats on the Cinder NetGalley! I gave up on waiting for it just in time to somehow get and ARC in the mail. I haven’t looked at it yet though! Trying to stay focused! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
ooh Untraceable looks awesome! And yay for Brightest Kind of Darkness! <3

Wow! 3 books in a week is amazing!!
I hope I can see your review of Cinder, I’m really wanting this book so bad!
Good luck with The Adoration of Jenna Fox, it looks so good!
Oh my! Dani, you cracked me up! You made laugh out loud this early evening (yeah, it’s evening here.. 6:30 pm… weird but cool time difference!) I see that you weren’t able to start Carrier of the Mark, while I was excited to know what you think about it because I want that book… hahaha! and you didn’t even open the book?! LOL! But you were able to finish 4 books?! That’s A LOT! and it’s even better because you’ve done really great in your TBR pile! CONGRATULATIONS! I just finished 2 books last week, and still reading Scorpio Races (it’s a shame huhu…). I’m trying my best to finish it, it’s just doesn’t sink in yet…
Anyway, I loved Adoration of Jenna Fox. It’s a beautiful story, touching and remarkable too. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy and love it just like I did.
Have a great weekend! XOXO!
LOL! While you did not read the book you were supposed to be reading, at least you lessened your TBR pile.
And to answer your question from the comments… I am of two minds with Wither – it is straddling the fence for me but I’m still not finished with it and we’ll see.
