“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine.
My pick for this week is:
Anew
by Chelsea Fine
The Archers of Avalon, Book #1
Expected Publication: December 2011 by Acacia Publishing (?)
Scarlet awoke in the woods without her memories…without a past…without a future. Until she met a boy with a familiar voice. A boy with secrets. A boy with answers. A boy named Gabriel Archer.
Intrigued by his voice, Scarlet immerses herself in Gabriel’s life only to discover he has a brother he’s kept hidden from her: Tristan Archer. Once Scarlet meets Tristan, her world becomes even more muddled.
While she’s instinctively drawn to Gabriel, she’s impossibly drawn to Tristan–and confused out of her mind. Why does Gabriel seem so familiar? Why is she so attracted to Tristan? And why do both brothers keep telling her she’s cursed to die?
Scarlet doesn’t have the answers…but the Archer brothers do.
Why do I want to read Anew? I LOVED Chelsea’s debut, Sophie & Carter, and frankly I’d read anything she publishes. But I also got a chance to read a 30-page sneak peek of Anew and well… Scarlet is funny, likeable and I just gotta find out what’s going to happen to her. And… <ahem>… a possible love triangle involving brothers doesn’t hurt either.
So what are you looking forward to this week?
this books sounds good, great pick:D

Ah… Not sure what to feel about this one! On the one hand, yes, I’m with you on the brother’s triangle! On the other, I’m not sure what, but something just doesn’t grip me here… Perhaps it actually is the cover, even. It has a generic feel to it, no matter how beautiful, and I can’t get inside the story just looking at it. I think I need to read some sneak peek or another work of this author before deciding. But I’m definitely going to check it out! Thanks for sharing!
Happy… waiting, I guess? 😉
I haven’t heard of this one, but it sounds really interesting! *goes to add it to GoodReads*
This sound great. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I don’t have a WOW post today, but there is a chance to win Jessie Harrell’s Destined
I like the cover, anything purple and immediately I’m drawn to it! This plot sounds mysterious, going to add it to my TBR list now! Thanks for sharing

Hi Dani! Thanks for sharing this book and I will check this out if only to assuage my curiousity about Scarlet’s mysterious past. But, oh no! A love triangle! -_-‘
I added it to my TBR when I first saw this book in your WOW post yesterday! (Ok, I didn’t had time to comment yesterday…had to run hehe). ANyway, this sounds really promising and I like the name Tristan (because that’s my son name) and I’m always grateful when I see his name in any book I read (which turns out to be really good books… at least for me!) THANKS FOR SHARING! ANother addition to my overflowing TBR pile!
