Welcome to the kick-off of the TBR Intervention Challenge!
1.) In the past two weeks, one of the books that’s been on my TBR list for a long time — one I’ve begun and put down, one I just haven’t been able to finish for some unfathomable reason — is Divergent by Veronica Roth. And I finally finished it last week. Yay, Me! I have not reviewed it yet, but I did love it. I thought the society was interesting, Tris is a character I’m still puzzling out, and Four is now a favorite book boy. The fact that it is set in a future dystopian Chicago left me with many questions about how the United States that I know has fallen and what’s beyond their little corner of the world. I thought the Factions was an interesting way to go with the governmental structure — something that started out so noble devolving because the of the imperfect nature of man. I’ll review this soon, I promise 😉
2.) My next book that I’m going to commit to read over the next week or two is a book that’s been sitting on my virtual TBR for a year or more, but that has been on my actual shelf for a little over two months thanks to Borders… and that book is Aurelia by Anne Osterlund.
So what dusty, ‘ole book are you going to read this week?
