Come one, come all to the YA Indie Carnival!!!
What amazing things do we have in store for you this week?
Me as casting director
So this week’s a fun one! We get to cast a book! I just finished Cidney Swanson’s novel, Rippler, last week and it was excellent (review to be posted this afternoon). So I thought I’d share my dream cast for this book, should it ever make the leap to the silver screen.
Sam Ruiz –
(Seychelle Gabriel – Falling Skies)
Will Baker-
Gwyn Li –
(Jamie Chung)
Mickie Baker –
(Emily Rose – Haven)
Sylvia Ruiz –
(Laura Linney)
Mr. Ruiz –
(Javier Bardem)
Dr. Pfeffer –
(Daniel Craig)
Girard L’Inferne –
(Michael Fassbender)
Sir Walter –
(???)
So that’s my dream cast! Are you enjoying all the eye candy? ‘Cause I certainly am… <sigh>… Daniel Craig 😉
Happy Reading!

Dani, I haven’t read the book, but I’m totally intrigued now because of the way you envision the cast. Casting director–just another facet of your awesomeness;) Love!!
Teehee! It’s definitely a good one, so you should definitely pick it up. Cidney is awesome!
Javier Bardem…YES! & Daniel Craig. Rlly? Why haven’t they been teamed up in a movie yet? Rippler sounds fascinating:) I can’t wait to read…another for my TBR list! Knock. Knock. It’s Hollywood. I think this has the makings of a great movie. Can you believe I’ve never heard of Sam Ruiz? *blushes* Great leading lady.
I don’t know but they’d be great cast against each other!
It’s definitely one for the TBR. Awesome book!
Totally, why haven’t Bardem and Craig worked together? I’d pay full price to see that! LOVE Bardem as Dave Ruiz. Daniel Craig could totally kill the role as Pfeffer, but his gorgeous blue eyes would need dark contacts. . . why this matters is clearer in Chameleon, I think, than in Rippler. Craig could make a terrifying Hans Lieberman . . . but it would be nice to see him as a good guy.
Oooo….can’t wait to start Chameleon!!!
Okay, Dani, two things…
1. Nice cast! That book sounds really good.
2. Great job on the cover! I read Filter, so I’ll definitely be reading The BlueStocking Girl.
Thank you so much Christy!
I cannot wait for BSG! And Rippler…I’ll be running a giveaway for it starting tomorrow, so check back!
Dani, You are so made of awesomeness! I don’t think you’ve found my own personal dream-Will, but I love Sylvia and Sam and Gwyn totally work! This is too much fun. I will have “Sir Walter” on the brain all day, no doubt. . .
Cidney
lol…whew. I was half afraid you’d be like “What’s she smokin’?” Haha. Leading men are hard, but he’s pretty much as I imagined Will.
Great post, Dani. I already have this book on my TBR list or I would add it. Thanks for sharing.
You had me at Laura Linney. Love her! Now I have to get the book!
Thanks! I’ve been thinking about reading this, and now I have people to envision.
