Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Digging through layers of secrets and lies, Morgan is left questioning everything she thought she knew about her boyfriend, her town, and even her parents’ involvement in this massive web of lies.
“I love the way you make up words by putting a ‘y’ at the end of them.”
“I love the way you avoid a conversation you don’t want to have by making an astute observation about me.”
“Don’t you mean astute-y?”

But college could set her free, right? If she can make it through this grueling senior year, then maybe. If she can just find that one person to throw her a lifeline, then maybe, just maybe. Justin Milano, a college sophomore with his own set of quirks, could be that person to pull her from a world of solitude. To rescue her—that is, if she’ll let him. Together, they may work. Together, they may save each other. And together they may also save another couple—two people Celeste knows are absolutely, positively flat-out in love. Whether you were charmed by Celeste in Flat-Out Love or are meeting her for the first time, this book is a joyous celebration of differences, about battling private wars that rage in our heads and in our hearts, and—very much so— this is a story about first love.

“I am returning from an audition,” she explained.
Matt snickered. “An audition for something legal or illegal?”

“Is everything ok?”
“Everything is violently perfect! Why would you ask?”
“Violently perfect? That’s an odd word choice…”
“I am in the car and about to experience a full day in a new city, , so I feel that I deserve to use whatever words strike my fancy at a moment’s notice. I am feeling whimsical and robust.”
“Whimsical? Robust? Celeste, what is going on?”
“Sexual tension levels are at an all-time high, and there are linguistic repercussions!” she shouted.
“Oh my God.”
