Who will be the sacrifice?
Kami has lost the boy she loves, is tied to a boy she does not, and faces an enemy more powerful than ever before. With Jared missing for months and presumed dead, Kami must rely on her new magical link with Ash for the strength to face the evil spreading through her town.
Rob Lynburn is now the master of Sorry-in-the-Vale, and he demands a death. Kami will use every tool at her disposal to stop him. Together with Rusty, Angela, and Holly, she uncovers a secret that might be the key to saving the town. But with knowledge comes responsibility—and a painful choice. A choice that will risk not only Kami’s life, but also the lives of those she loves most.
This final book in the Lynburn Legacy is a wild, entertaining ride from beginning to shocking end.
Because things are so, so very bad and not at all very good in Sorry-in-the-Vale. And I. Must. Know. What. Happens.

Expected Publication: July 22, 2014
From V.E. Schwab, the critically acclaimed author of Vicious, comes a new universe of daring adventure, thrilling power, and parallel Londons, beginning with A Darker Shade of Magic.
Kell is one of the last Travelers—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes—as such, he can choose where he lands.
There’s Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there’s Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne—a place where people fight to control magic, and the magic fights back, draining the city to its very bones. And once upon a time, there was Black London…but no one speaks of that now.
Officially, Kell is the Red Traveler, personal ambassador and adopted Prince of Red London, carrying the monthly correspondences between the royals of each London. Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see—a dangerous hobby, and one that has set him up for accidental treason. Fleeing into Grey London, Kell runs afoul of Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations, who first robs him, then saves him from a dangerous enemy, and then forces him to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.
But perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, Kell and Lila will first need to stay alive—and that is proving trickier than they hoped.
I loved Victoria Schwab’s The Archived, so I’m very excited to see what this new series is all about. I read on Goodreads that she describes one of her characters as “a royal who is equal parts Prince Harry and Jack Harkness”…oh I am soooooo in.
So… what are you looking forward to this Wednesday?
I need to read Brennan. It’s on my TBR. Waiting, waiting…no time… And yes, I’m so excited for A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC. Ahhhh!!!
Yes. You do. You really, really do. But I know what you mean about having no time. lol Thanks for stopping by, Bonnie!
Oh, both of these sound good. I’m not too familiar with the Lynburn Legacy, but it sounds fascinating. And as far as A Darker Shade of Magic, this sounds like something I would really enjoy. I’ve heard only the nicest comments and reviews for Victoria Schwab’s The Archived. I can’t wait to see what you think of it Dani! Great picks
I haven’t read the second book in Sarah Rees Brennan’s series (which may be a good thing, based on reactions to cliffhangers!) but I really enjoyed the first.
And I LOVE Victoria Schwab’s books! This one sounds SO GOOD. Great picks! 😀
