“Waiting on” Wednesday | Crossed by Ally Condie
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine.
My pick for this week is:
by Ally Condie
November 1st 2011 by Dutton Juvenile
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky – taken by the Society to his certain death – only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander – who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart – change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.
If I have to explain why I want to read this, then you definitely need to pick up a copy of Matched….and soon! <wink wink> I cannot wait to find out what happens to Cassia, Ky and Xander and to discover what life is like on the fringes of Society! Squee!
AND guess what the hubs found on EW.com this morning? The first two chapters of Crossed!
What are you “squeeing” about this Wednesday?

I can’t wait to read this one, either! I loved the world building in the first one.
Yay! I know…I can’t wait to see more of the world!
Ahh, I couldn’t read the summary because I still haven’t read Matched. Yes, I know, I’m crazy. I’ve heard nothing but good things, it’s on my tbr wish list. But I can understand why you can’t wait for it. =) It’s one of those series I just know I’m going to love before I even start it.
Btw, I love your layout!!
Ehh…I know the feeling. There are a ton of big titles on my TBR that I haven’t had the chance to pick up either. I hope you do love it when you get to it
And thank you for the blog love!
I still haven’t read Matched!
I really need to get my hands on it!

This one is definitely on my list – I loved Matched and have been waiting anxiously all year for this one. Can’t believe the wait is almost over. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
You’re welcome! Thanks for stopping by mine! I know, only a couple weeks to go!!!
Matched was a lukewarm read for me, but I still remember it, so I do want to read Crossed
You can find my WoW here.
I’ve got a couple of book series I’m reading that I feel that way about. I’m just intrigued enough to read the next one. Who knows, though. The dynamic in Crossed sounds like it’ll be totally different, as will the setting… should be interesting. lol
this is a popular WoW pick! I wasn’t completely in love with MATCHED, but I am interested enough to see where the series goes in CROSSED.
My WoW is SWEAR.
I think it’ll be interesting to see where book two goes as the dynamic will be totally different. I think Crossed may be more interesting. [crossing fingers]
Thanks for stopping by!
I really want to read this series. It looks so good. =]
Here is My WoW this week. =]
I haven’t read Matched either. I need to get cracking.
