Welcome to Refracted Light’s
Read/reading this week:
Bitter Snow – Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen and the legends of Belsnickel and Krampus. It was a really cool mashup with a spunky heroine, that led me to do a lot of Wikipedia-ing and adding Andersen’s original to my reading list.
Poison Dagger – A prequel to Blackburne’s upcoming debut, this tells the story of James and Thalia. It’s not an easy to read story, but it’s interesting background on someone who appears will be a major player in the full length novel.
Neverwas – I’m listening to the audio of this and about halfway through, so an improvement on last week, but it’s taking me a bit to finish it. But it is simply fantastic. SOOOO GOOD. It was hard to imagine how Kelly, Tucker and Larkin would top the first book, but they’re BLOWING IT AWAY with Neverwas.
Cruel Beauty – Very interesting, wonderfully mysterious and deliciously angsty. Love the fairytale/Greek mythology mash-up.

Happy Reading!
I have Poison Dance to read…I hope I enjoy it
I’ll have to see if you’ve posted a review for it yet. CRESS! Can’t wait to see what you think of that one too. Looks like a lot of great books read and on the to read list
I didn’t review Poison Dance, and I’m not sure I’m going to, because it was a no-strings read I picked up just for me. 😛 lol But I did enjoy it. It’s not particularly pleasant and it’s dark, BUT, I liked that and it’s good background info on a character who I assume will be a big part of book one (blanking on the title). And I should be getting Cress in today! CANNOT WAIT TO READ IT!
