It’s no secret that I adore Four, so getting a peak into his point of view was definitely worth the read. This isn’t a long short story, so my review will be brief. Basically we get to see the day of Tobias Eaton’s transformation into Four. It begins with him “waking up” from his simulation and follows him through a night with his father, his choosing ceremony and his initiation into Dauntless as well as his first trip through the Fear Landscape. The story doesn’t really provide much new information but does provide new details and insight into Four’s character. He goes from being a beaten down (literally and figuratively) teenage boy to the beginnings of the strong, yet still damaged, young man we meet in Divergent. I thoroughly enjoyed this glimpse into Four’s mind and look forward to more.
