Welcome to Refracted Light’s

This week’s reviews:
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (Vlog; Heather & Dani)
Anomaly by Krista McGee (Dani)
Persuasion by Jane Austen (Dani)
The Beautiful and The Cursed by Page Morgan (Snippet Review; Dani)
Touch by Jus Accardo (Snippet Review; Heather)
Read this week:
Alienated – A fun culture-clash of galactic proportions. Super swoonworthy romance. Review coming next week!
Anomaly – Interesting dystopian from a Christian perspective REVIEW
The Beautiful and The Cursed – Darkly romantic and kind of gothically atmospheric. I gave it 4 stars originally, but I keep coming back to it, liking it better the more I consider it. REVIEW
The First Star To Fall – Short story that introduces us to Persis, her friends, her life, and the political climate of New Pacifica. So ready to dive into Across a Star-Swept Sea!!!
Cinderella Steals Home – A short, cute contemporary that helped cleanse my reading palate, so to speak. Some of the drama was a bit over-hyped, but it served it’s purpose.
What Really Happened in Peru – Llamas, guinea pigs and ridiculously feathered hats abound in this hilarious and enlightening look into the complex enigma that is Magnus Bane.
Clockwork Angel (manga) – Love, ❤, and adore it so very much. <le sigh…>
The Summer I Became a Nerd – Nerdgirls unite! This was cute, if a little over-dramatized, but a feel-good story about being yourself and the importance of honesty.
To read next week:
Read this week:
Left Drowning – I was really disappointed with this one. I’d hope for the greatness I saw in Flat-Out Love and instead was left shaking my head.
Charm & Consequence – Adorable modernization of Pride and Prejudice. I’m really looking forward to the next installment.
Secondary Characters – This novella was all sorts of wonderful. I really love the characters and the romances and the deliciously satisfying plot. I’m going to keep my eye on this author for sure!
Ruby Red – I’m working through Ruby Red, slowly but surely. I don’t think it’s the book’s fault though. I haven’t had a whole lot of concentration while reading this week and this is sort of a time-travel mystery so I have to pay attention more than I do with a contemporary. I’ve liked what I’ve read so far! =)
The Sea of Tranquility – Just started this one and I’m enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing where things go.
To read next week:
Happy Reading!

It does, I can’t wait to read it! And I know it’s not on my list, but I’m really looking forward to SoT!
Dani, you read EIGHT books in one week? Crazy!
Heather, I’m about to start Sea of Tranquility too. Can’t waiit.
Ha! Well, there were a few short stories and novellas mixed in there. But yeah, I was catching up cause I didn’t read at all the week before 😛 lol
