There are times when Heather, Aly & I finish a book, but don’t have time to write a full, comprehensive review… or even a shorter “flashbulb” review. BUT we still want to share our thoughts with you on what we’ve been reading. That’s why every Saturday we’ll be featuring 3 “snippet” reviews — short, sweet, to-the-point reviews that we’ll try to keep to 2-7 sentences. So we hope you enjoy these!!

Blurb: Seventeen-year-old Althea is the sole support of her entire family, and she must marry well. But there are few wealthy suitors–or suitors of any kind–in their small Yorkshire town of Lesser Hoo. Read more…
Needing something lighter, and being in a very “all things Austen” mood as of late, I was perusing my library’s ebook selection and came across Keeping The Castle. Sampling the first few pages, I was immediately sucked in and proceeded to spend an evening captivated by Althea’s hilarious misadventures to keep her family’s castle by securing a financially solvent husband. The whole thing is just a fun, light-hearted regency-era, YA romance in the vein of Austen with fantastic tongue-in-cheek humor and a slightly satirical bent. Althea is a heroine I found myself rooting for from the first few pages, and the chemistry/quarreling/interactions between her and her leading man are laugh-out-loud funny. Overall, totally adorable and completely enjoyable.
Blurb: After messing up big time by bringing a human into the fae realm, Vi needs to step up her game and forget about Nate if she hopes to graduate as the top guardian of her year. Everything would be fine if she wasn’t forced to partner with Ryn, her ex-friend, ex-enemy, current ‘sort of friend’. Read more…

Oh. My. Wow. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Ok, I really liked The Faerie Guardian. It was incredibly wonderful and awesome. The Faerie Prince blew it out of the water. There was no way I could put it down. The drama, oh the sweet drama… The deliciously perfect, cliffhanger-esque ending… The epic Ryn/Violet banter… The romance, ummm WOW!!! The twisty-turvy plot… Everything was just so, so amazingly well-done. I do not have enough modifiers to express the utter amazing that is The Faerie Prince! Rachel Morgan, you are a master storyteller. Seriously, read this series…it rocks!
Happy Reading!
