“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine.
by Leigh Bardugo
Expected Publication: May, 2013
No blurb yet.
This novella references a character we are introduced to in Siege and Storm, a character that rivals the Darkling for the title “Most Interesting.” I’m hoping this gives some insight and perspective into his back story, but honestly, no matter what it’s about — back story, folktale or something in between — I would read it in a heartbeat. Can’t wait!

When destiny is on the line, will love be enough to light the way?
In order to save Ethan, Nara gets pulled deeper into his dark world, where everything she thought she knew about Ethan and herself turns on its head. Ethan and Nara turn up the heat with bone-melting seduction and heart-rending moments, but surprising revelations, lies, treachery, betrayal, and unimaginable evil will challenge their relationship and their future together. As the stakes rise, encompassing more than just her relationship with Ethan, will Nara make the ultimate sacrifice?
I am getting so anxious for the conclusion of this awesome story! It will be epic. It will be awesome. There will be Ethan/Nara amazingness. I’m totally grabby hands for this!
So… what are you looking forward to this Wednesday?
well, this might be one Novella, I’d love to read :)))
Oh and .. I LOVE your new logo and Header! So cute!!
Yes. I’d read anything Leigh writes… and I do mean anything. She’s one of those few authors that falls into that category. Seriously, If the woman published her grocery list, I’d read it. lol
And thank you!
I still haven’t read either of these authors! *hangs head in shame*
I know that fantasy isn’t always your particular thing, but Shadow and Bone = excellent. Has D read it?
And I think you’d really like the Brightest Kind of Darkness books.
Oh my gosh, I want The Too Clever Fox soooo bad! I think it was Dani who recommended it to me on Goodreads – THANK YOU! I can’t wait for this one. And the cover art is gorgeous, as usual for this series!
Meeeee tooooo! And sure thing, I knew you’d be as excited as I am!
And yes, I LOVE that Tor.com actually finds (or commissions) amazing cover art for their short stories and novellas. The covers are always unique, symbolic and gorgeous.
AND they provide the short stories and novellas FREE online! Another bonus. 😀
lol… that too. Free rocks.
I have an arc of Siege and Storm that I somehow won and need to read, but I’m also excited for The Too Clever Fox. The cover is beautiful.
It is! And enjoy Siege and Storm, it’s FANTASTIC!
I loved Siege and Storm so I would love to read the novella!

Okay, I do have Leigh Bardugo’s first book, I haven’t read it yet, but I couldn’t pass it up when everyone was praising it so highly. So I do plan to get to it. Have you checked Tor’s site for this novella? I found one by Anna Banks on the site, it was just free. It wasn’t a novella, just a short story, but still.
I haven’t read the other story at all, but maybe I should, bone melting sounds good!

Sorry it took me so long to get over here. I love the clean design of your blog!
