Welcome to Refracted Light’s
Sunday Spotlight!
Read this week:
Wings of Arian – Interesting concept with a very Legend of the Seeker feel. Got a little waylaid pacing-wise with philosophy and exposition, and for such a long book the romance developed much quicker than I had hoped.
Poison – Super cute fantasy/fairytale that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Review to come later this week.
None of the Regular Rules – Poignant story about finding yourself, taking chances, making mistakes, and finding your own path.
To read next week:
Just got The Madman’s Daughter on audiobook, and it is fantastic so far. Gothic, creepy, slightly disturbing, a little bit romantic. <– I like. And Scarlet. Getting this for a book tour this week, AND it’s coming out this week anyway, AND I’ve been slightly dying for this one since finishing Cinder last year. This book and I are totally gonna spend some quality time together.
Read this week:
I only been reading Fragments this week. I KNOW!!! It’s so good but I haven’t had a lot of time to read.
To read next week:
Next week I will be reading Through the Ever Night (SO EXCITED!!!!) and Hysteria and maybe even Shades of Earth! (EEEE!!!!)
Read this week:
Jekel Loves Hyde – No lie… This took me nearly two months to read. It wasn’t a bad book, either. I just couldn’t get attached and I didn’t feel invested.
Vain – HOLY COW! What an awesome book! Highly recommend! Possible review to come! (After I read it again!) Only downfall: bad editing.

Happy Reading!
Oh I LOVED Callum and Harper and Thomas and January by the same author as Vain. Heard awesome things about Vain – maybe the errors will improve if the version is updated?
I’ve only read C&H, but I really enjoyed that one. I totally need to catch up with Fisher’s books. And hopefully, she’ll release a better edited version. That’s not super uncommon.
