Blood Storm by Rhiannon Hart

Everything I’ve always wanted —  and everything I never knew I always wanted — in a captivatingly awesome, beautifully romantic fantasy adventure.

Crown of Embers by Rae Carson

Three words:  Elisa & Hector.  These characters are just so incredible both alone and together and though the plot is also incredibly incredible, it’s the character-driven aspect of Rae’s books that make it a favorite.

Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh

This book was frightening, disturbing, utterly heartbreaking, tragic… but lovely in it’s own Poe-esque way.  The thing I love about Kelly and this series is the extremes to which she takes her characters and the risks she’s willing to take in her story.

The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

How do I describe this book?  Mind blowing. Mind bending.  Addictive.  Incredibly sophisticated.  My absolute top, top, tippity top FAVORITE of 2012.

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Just gorgeous in scale and scenery, I love The Darkling, Alina & Mal so very much, love the Russian/Slavic influence on the world and mythology, love a complex & twisty villain, love the situations Alina gets backed into, love her growth as a character.  Just a REALLY good book.

Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Umm…some serious shizzle went done in this book and wow…mind = blown.  I was talking about that one for quite a long time!

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
(I know it was pubbed in 2011, but I read it in 2012)

I shed so many tears in this book!  Seriously overwhelmingly awesome conclusion to Meghan, Ash, and Puck’s stories.

Crown of Embers by Rae Carson

Beautifully put together and characters that are simply unforgettable.

Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
This book is seriously awesome on epic levels…EPIC

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

I am not one to fall in love with a contemporary typically but this novel…wow, just wow…there is so much more to it than a simple contemporary.  It speaks to the reader on so many different levels.  The characters have stuck with me for months.

Deity & Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Yes, I know these are separate, but they go together in my head, and the Covenant series rocks.

blank2

Easy by Tammara Webber

Rather heavy, but there’s nothing that I would change about this book because it’s so redemptive.

The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

What a phenomenal read – my brain figuratively exploded too many times to count.

blank2

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

I reviewed this book recently, and it’s a heartwrenchingly beautiful love story. Perfectly broken.

blank2

Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Enter the source of my total obsession with angel/demon books – it all started here.

Just five?  Impossible. Oh, I’m so heartbroken I’ll have to leave some of my boyz off this list… <sniffle sob>

Noah Shaw
from Michelle Hodkin’s Mara Dyer series

Insanely smart, funny, kind, loyal, protective and incredible damaged.  Boy makes me (& Mara) swoon.

blank2

Prince Ashallyn’darkmyr Tallyn (a.k.a – Ash)
from Julie Kagawa’s The Iron Fey

Ice Boy makes me melt a little inside.

blank2

Robin Goodfellow (a.k.a – Puck)
from Julie Kagawa’s The Iron Fey

This trickster has stolen my heart ;)

blank2

Lord-Commander Hector of the Royal Guard
from Rae Carson’s Fire & Thorns trilogy

Fiercely loyal and honorable.  Also fills out a uniform quite nicely.  Or so we’re told.

blank2

Aiden St. Delphi
from Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series
Where do I even begin??? Aiden is… incredible. Practically perfect in every way.

heather

Jason
from Lauren Morrill’s Meant To Be

He is the perfect blend of obnoxious and adorable.  Very fun to read.

blank2

Zachary Moore
from The Shade Trilogy by Jeri Smith Ready

perfect blend of geeky and adorable…and Scottish.  ;)

blank2

Noah Shaw
from Michelle Hodkin’s Mara Dyer series

Intensely supportive, loyal, protective, and hilariously funny…I just love me some Noah Shaw.

blank2

Aiden St. Delphi
from Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series

I love his selflessness.

blank2

Hector
from Rae Carson’s Fire & Thorns trilogy
He is no book boy…he’s a book man!

aly

Aiden
from Jennifer L Armentrout’s Covenant series

I went from being merely obsessed with the Aiden of 2011 to full-on-stalker-mode in 2012.

blank2

Kaidan
from Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Wicked forbidden, bad boy, but could he have a change of heart?

blank2

Drystan
from P.T. Michelle’s Brightest Kind of Darkness series

I know I’m in the minority, but seriously… <swoon>

 .blank2

 Will

from Colleen Hoover’s Slammed

Attractive, mature poet? I’ll have some more, please!

blank2

Noah Shaw
from Michelle Hodkin’s Mara Dyer series
Another rollover from 2011, but I fell even more in love with him in 2012.

And I did see that and BETTER than Aiden or Daemon? I *must* meet this new dude.
