Read/listened to this week…
… and short stories…
Measuring Up – Cute read about learning to be content with yourself, learning to love yourself, and not being defined by the expectations and prejudices of others.
Flat-Out Love – Endearingly quirky, painfully heartbreaking, sweetly adorkable, brutally honest, clever and funny, uplifting and hopeful. More than a romance, it’s a story about a family piecing their lives and relationships back together.
Thorn – A really well-done retelling of the fairytale of The Goose Girl.
The Bone Knife – A short story set in the same world as Thorn. Super good and Khanani is taking the main character Rae and expanding her story into a trilogy. *fistpump*
Red Run – Another short story involving a murderous ghost and a girl who seeks vengeance for her brother’s death. Creepy and interesting.

To read this coming week…
This past week I read What I Didn’t Say, which was a beautiful story about choosing to live right now in spite of circumstances, and Beautiful Creatures, which I really like so far.
