There are no men in Claysoot. There are boys—but every one of them vanishes at midnight on his eighteenth birthday. The ground shakes, the wind howls, a blinding light descends…and he’s gone.
They call it the Heist.
Gray Weathersby’s eighteenth birthday is mere months away, and he’s prepared to meet his fate–until he finds a strange note from his mother and starts to question everything he’s been raised to accept: the Council leaders and their obvious secrets. The Heist itself. And what lies beyond the Wall that surrounds Claysoot–a structure that no one can cross and survive.
Climbing the Wall is suicide, but what comes after the Heist could be worse. Should he sit back and wait to be taken–or risk everything on the hope of the other side?
Climb the wall! Climb the wall!!! Come on, he’s gotta climb that wall!
Plus, where do all the guys go? Alien abduction? And the whole matriarchal society angle is always interesting, if not a little creepy.
Taken just sounds all kinds of interesting, plus I’m digging the male POV as of late. So…bring it on.

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.
After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

After reading Pandemonium and balling my eyes out over that ending, I MUST know what happens next. I just have to know. I mean…sigh, I won’t spoil it…I just won’t do it. Gah…I need that book now!

Since I was privileged enough to get my hands on a Deity ARC, and Elixir was posted as a pdf over the weekend, I’m now chomping at the bit for Apollyon. If Jennifer keeps giving us these cliffhanger endings, in the future, I’m going to have to resort to waiting until a series is complete before I start them so I can avoid this heartache and anticipation… (see also: Lux Series.) I just can’t help myself because all her books are so awesome and witty!
.
So what are you looking forward to this week?
Taken sounds amazing! I am so curious about why the boys are being kidnapped. I am also very excited for Requiem except I heard it doesn’t give many answers. Everyone seems to be bummed about the ending and I bet I will be too. I wanted to finally get some answers! I still need to start the Half-Blood series.
My WOW
Oh man. That makes me really sad. Not that I’ve read Pandemonium yet, but I’ve been saving it until Requiem is out because I’ve heard it has quite the cliffhanger!
And you totally should read the the Covenant series 😉
I can’t wait to read Taken or Requiem. They both sound really, really good! Thanks for sharing! Here’s my WoW.
They do, don’t they?! lol. Thanks for stopping by, Debz!
Fantastic selections! They are all on my wishlist/TBR piles. Thanks for sharing them all! ^.^ If you would like to check out my Waiting On Wednesday you can do so here.
Yay!
Thanks for dropping in, Eric!
Definitely looking forward to Taken! I love the cover and the synopsis sounds fantastic! Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my WoW earlier.

OOOOOOH! I want Taken too!!!!! I haven’t even started the other series books!!!
I know, right!?! And seriously, Ashley… you gots to meet Aiden & Seth. 😉
All of these sound ah-mazing! I agree…CLIMB THE WALL!
And I, too, need to know what comes next after Pandemonium. Such a heart-rending ending! I haven’t read ANY JLA yet — I KNOW! — but I own a few and have plans to get caught up in those over the holidays. Sounds like a solid plan, right?
Nada? Zero? Zip? Nothing? Oh man… you need to read a JLA stat! 😉 lol
Ooh! Matriarchal societies are fun! I loved Delirium and tore through all of Jennifer’s books. Nice picks, indeed! And thanks, Dani, for revealing my cover on Sunday. I so appreciate it. Nice blog and banner, ladies!!
Thank you! And you’re so welcome! Looking forward to The Dollhouse Asylum!
Requiem is on the top of my WOW lists, too!
Yay! I’m super curious how that series is going to end
Thanks for stopping by, Carrie!
Awesome picks girls!!! I’m definitely excited for all three but Apollyon and Requiem are at the top!!!
My WoW

Yes. I needed Apollyon like… yesterday. And I still need catch up with Pandemonium, but I know enough of what happens that I’m really interested to see what she’s going to do with the mess she’s created!
So. Much. Drama! XD
Awesome picks. I want to read these too!
Well, I must say then that you have EXCELLENT taste. 😉 Thanks for stopping in, Rita!
I love all of these picks. Taken sounds great. Requiem I just need. And Apollyon is a JLA book so need I say more? Love these choices!!!!!
Teresa @ Readers Live A Thousand Lives
I know… I want all three too!
Dani, are you LOVING Pushing Limits? It’s one of my fave reads this year and I’m happy you’re reading it.
Taken sounds quite interesting! *joins chorus* Climb the wall! Climb the wall!
I AM! You know I have a thing for broken boys and Noah certainly fits that particular bill. Loving it so far! 😀
OMG Taken! This is one of my most anticipated 2013 reads! I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy. And of course Requiem is another I am excited for, though perhaps a bit nervous since the cliffie of Pandemonium. I haven’t read any of the Lux series, YET, but I do LOVE that cover!
Thanks for stopping by my post!

Amazing picks ladies! I am in desperate need of Apollyon and Taken looks so good! I still need to read the Oliver series but I have it on my list =) Thanks for sharing!
Oooh, Taken sounds interesting!
I’m with Heather this week, though. I’m also waiting on Requiem something fierce! It was my pick, too.
