So it’s the final day of our Weekend of Bram event!
Which, if you’ve noticed, it’s Wednesday and about the furthest day from the weekend as you can get. Yeah.
.
Eh. We’re rolling with it…
.
Anyway, enough with the bunny trails! On to the important stuff. And that “important stuff” would be Bram, of course.
.
So… Heather & I got in contact with Lia, who in turn put us in touch with Bram & Nora, who then both graciously took time from their busy schedule of kick-buttery, kissing and just being utterly awesome to answer a few questions for us!
.
So without further ado,
* Warning… if you are currently drinking a beverage. You might want to cease and desist until after reading this interview. I speak from personal experience...

Love can never die. Love conquers all, so they say. But can Cupid’s arrow pierce the hearts of the living and the dead—or rather, the undead? Can a proper young Victorian lady find true love in the arms of a dashing zombie? The year is 2195. The place is New Victoria—a high-tech nation modeled on the manners, mores, and fashions of an antique era. A teenager in high society, Nora Dearly is far more interested in military history and her country’s political unrest than in tea parties and debutante balls. But after her beloved parents die, Nora is left at the mercy of her domineering aunt, a social-climbing spendthrift who has squandered the family fortune and now plans to marry her niece off for money. For Nora, no fate could be more horrible—until she’s nearly kidnapped by an army of walking corpses. But fate is just getting started with Nora. Catapulted from her world of drawing-room civility, she’s suddenly gunning down ravenous zombies alongside mysterious black-clad commandos and confronting “The Laz,” a fatal virus that raises the dead—and hell along with them. Hardly ideal circumstances. Then Nora meets Bram Griswold, a young soldier who is brave, handsome, noble . . . and dead. But as is the case with the rest of his special undead unit, luck and modern science have enabled Bram to hold on to his mind, his manners, and his body parts. And when his bond of trust with Nora turns to tenderness, there’s no turning back. Eventually, they know, the disease will win, separating the star-crossed lovers forever. But until then, beating or not, their hearts will have what they desire. In Dearly, Departed, romance meets walking-dead thriller, spawning a madly imaginative novel of rip-roaring adventure, spine-tingling suspense, and macabre comedy that forever redefines the concept of undying love.

Loved the book and the interview! Your characters are amazing, even though I’m usually not into zombie books because I get grossed out too easily. I’ve only seen one zombie movie, Zombieland, which was actually pretty good.

I love the characters! I love that there is a separation between noble zombies and ARGH… eat your brains!! bad zombies! I also love the mixture of Steampunk in it which has stolen my heart!

My favorite zombie movie right now is Zombie World because it is just so darn funny.
Hi Lia! I just want to say that Dearly, Departed is one of my favorite books of all time and if Dearly, Beloved is even HALF as good, I’m going to devour it just like I did Dearly, Departed!! I would love to live in your mind for just one hour because I’ll bet it’s a really fun place to visit

Hi Lia! I haven’t started your series yet but I find it very interesting. My favorite zombie movie is 28 days later.
Amazing interview!
Hi Lia!!
I haven’t read this series yet, but from interview it’s look interesting. My favorite zombie movie was Resident Evil.
The interview definitely made me want to read this series! Thanks so much for stopping by, Lia!
Wonderful interview. Every time I hear the name Bram, I think of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. He is the first to bring the undead to the audience in a classic novel. Of course, I still think Edgar Allen Poe is the masterful in Horror.
Hi Lia! Wonderful interview with wonderful characters. My favorite zombie anything is most definitely this series. I do like pretty much any zombie movie though. They just make me smile, and grimace. Maybe want to throw up a little and sleep with a night light. But I love them. Can’t beat Bram and Nora though. The covers are beautiful, the stories are amazing. I think I may have a slight girl crush on Lia. Now worries, it is completely innocent. You just have to love an author this talented. Talented enough to dream up Bram! I mean, come on! Sorry for the rambling, thanks for the giveaway and interview. I’m done now. Night!
Great interview! It really made me laugh
I’m really looking forward to reading Dearly, Beloved. I would say my favorite zombie movie, is Shaun of the Dead
Hi Lia. You seem so nice! I loved your book because: it was ya, the characters were amazing, the friendships and love, the fight for something you believe in, Zombies…. Must I go on. Your next book is definitely on my tor pile, I can say that for sure.
Hi Lia, I think the book covers of Dearly Departed and Dearly Beloved are very beautiful and intriguing! I cannot wait to read this series! Plus I love a good romance/love story and I loved the Victorian era. So I know that this book will be a great read!
